A Warm Thank You, and a Peek Inside our Room!

Here is where we will be
spending the next nine months.

It was wonderful to see all of you at Open House and to hear all about your summers. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. Thank you for accepting me (Mrs. E) so quickly into the FPA community. It was great to finally put faces to the names we have been writing on locker tags, name tags, cubbies, book boxes and mailboxes for the last two weeks. We are really looking forward to a great year with a group of tremendously intelligent and talented individuals. Enjoy the last few days of summer. It will be Tuesday before we know it.

Classroom Calendar

On the right hand side of the page under the links section, we have created a link which will take you to a classroom calendar page. We will be keeping this up to date. In case an assignment notebook forgets to come home, know that you can use this calendar to check on specific homework assignments. We hope you find this helpful. If we missed any important that should be on the calendar, let us know what else we can add. Student birthdays will be posted shortly:-)

Supplemental Math Activities

If you are interested in practicing your math at home, here is a site that has links to several fantastic games, worksheets and other interactive activities that reinforce the skills we will be learning at school. We will have a link to this site on our school computer and will be using several of these games as a math center choice. There is something for everyone and every level which I really love. See what you think. We will continue to post useful sites on the top right hand side of the web page where they are always visible.

Welcome to our Room!

Hello and welcome to a great year. We are very excited about sharing the next nine months with you. As a way to document our year together, the kids and their teachers will post daily blogs. Along with our weekly take home folders, this site should help keep you up to date on schedules, homework assignments, project due dates and special events happening at school. We will also be posting pictures of the kids hard at work, and participating in classroom activities so you can see firsthand what our classroom looks like each day. Please feel free to download as many of the pictures as you want for your personal use. We are also excited to share and display any outstanding student work samples, projects and classroom achievements here. I hope this site will be a place that your student is excited to show you each day.

We are very eager to meet you at Open House on Wednesday, August 27 starting at 6:00pm. You are welcome to bring your school supplies so they are ready and waiting for you on your first day. See you all very soon!
